i thought the story was pretty good, i thought it was funny when she said she was 61 c[: of course her fathers dead haha it was a really good story but the whole ending sounds kinda creepy.... id be like um.... bye! ;) _BLAKE S.
The end was kinda creepy, the principal shouldn't have led Marsha on because she already had enough problems in her life. Marsha will prolly get really depressed again because of this. I didnt like the story that well.
i liked this story but the ending was...surprising? crazy?..something like that.. if i were in marsha's situation i would have probably like told everyone i know about it and talked to the old lady and tell her that she is crazy and to never talk to me again....because she pretty much is. and i would have felt pretty bad if i were the old lady because she pretty much just told marsha that her best friend is a old lady..which would be pretty sad:)hahaha..amd marsha would probably still run away to get away from everything that was bothering her.
Honestly the ending was surprising. But it was't as creepy as I thought people were making. I don't think the principle should of lied to Marsha. I keep wondering what Marsha said back to "Anne Marie". I thought it was kind of dumb that the principle would fake being a teen. But overall it was really good story (:
Oh My Gosh! >:o First off, how freaky would that be. You come to trust someone and the whole time you've known them, all they've done is lie to you. >_> And a 61 year old woman acting like a teenager girl?! That's a little odd. Scratch that, really odd! :x I feel this old woman should not be a principal. I mean he repeatedly said, "I'm thinking of you." I found that to be very distirbing. Very very distirbing! >.> Think about how Marsha's mother would feel about this, who wants their 17-18 year old daughter talking to a 61 year old woman! Also, this girl seems to have little to no life if all she can do is talk to a young girl. >_> I think she's one of the following: Predator Pedophile Weird Old Person who has no life.
Ehh, actually I think she's all of the above. xD
Chris: It's kinda like a Seven-Eleven I think? o.O
Tyler: I was thinking the same thing. That would be extremely depressing to find out that someone who you trusted happens to be some freaky old chickk with no life. xD
This story overall is freaky and I feel Marsha should report it to the FBI!!!!!
Hm...it wasnt as creepy I thought it was going to be. I did think it was very mean of the principle to fake it to marsha. Now marsha is going to feel even more hopeless. :/ I agree with daelyn, by that i mean im wondering what Marsha felt, and replied to "Anne Marie." I liked the story though. It was more intriging then the other ones (;
WHAT DID MARSHA WRITE BACK?!?!?!?! I HATE CLIFF HANGERS?!?!?! WHY WHY WHY WHY. The story was ok. The story sortof drug on and if the "61-yearold" principle conviced us and marsha that she was some teenager......Anne Marie is good at that....too good??
I am sensing a common theme here. A lot of you thought that Anne Marie was a pedifile just because she befriended this girl. In my opinion, Anne Marie is a person who obviously cares about other people and children in general. Not in a creepy way, but in a motherly way. She sensed that Marsha was having a difficult time and instead of turning her back on her due to their age difference she tried to offer advice and help this girl out of her slump. I agree that it could appear a little weird and that it might have done some damage to Marsha's self-esteem when she realized she was talking to an adult instead of a peer, but it also might have been the only thing that helped her to keep her head held high. That to me, is what is most important.
Brittany and Daelyn..I think we are on the same page:)
Tyler- You bring up a good point. Finding out that Anne Marie was an adult could have definitely caused a little bit of depression for Marsha.
Chris- Did the story reference a five and ten gas station or a five and ten store? They used to have five and ten stores where everything cost a dime or a nickel.
I think this story was really good. The ending suprised me a bit though. I thought it was kinda weird that a 61 year old principal would write to some teenager she didn't know. I think it would have made the girl feel really weird that she just told a 61 year old she was her best friend. Over all i think that this was a pretty good story :]
I enjoyed reading Dear Marsha it was really good but the ending surprised me alot. I never expected her pen pal to be a 61 year old principal. it was very shocking:0 but enjoyable.
Wow i loved that story, the whole time i was thinking that they would meet but i was wrong. And when i found out that Anne-Marie was the principle of the school i was so surprised, she led Marsha on to believe she was her age by everything she said then when she got caught when Marsha asked to go live with her the truth came out and i think if that never would of happened she would of continued on lying forever and ever.
The story was pretty good other then the ending. I mean it wasnt right for the principal to keep leading her on thinking she was a young girl when she is actually 61. I dont think it was right for her to lie about it. The ending wasnt as creepy as everybody said it was.
The end was really creepy when she said she was 61. I thought it was really wrong of Anne Marie to lead on Marsha on and why didn't she ask like personal questions because it seamed like she told Anne Marie her whole life story and she didnt even really tell her about her life.?.?
Ms.Whitney- i think it was wrong for Ann-Marie to basicly lead her on like that, to act like she was her friend and like she would be there for her and then all of a sudden when Marsha felt connected to her she left her off like that, hanging and loosing a "real" friend.
And i know that someone put her name in but as soon as she got marshas letter she should of said "Hi someone put my name in there as a joke, im not a student i am a 61 year OLD PRINCIPLE!!!!" It was sooo wrong, like im just thinking if that was me i would think i had 1 true friend who is honest and cares and then she is a fake and a lier!!!!!!
Lauren- So are you saying that Anne Marie wasn't a friend at all to Marsha because she was so much older than her? I think She chose not to tell her right away because she knew Marsha would probably stop talking to her and then Marsha's problems would continue only she would be alone with no one to talk to. At least Anne Marie listened and tried to help Marsha feel better. That's just my opinion though.
Anne Marie CREEPS ME OUT! I know she was trying to help but I don't think she should've been acting like a teenager. She could've said that right off the bat and see if Marsha would trust her or not. she could have said "Some body put my name was put in as a joke but I am willing to help you with your problems because I am somebody willing to help you"
the end suprised me alot
ReplyDeletei didnt expect anne marie was older at all
i thought she was a teenager like Marsha
the story was okay

ReplyDeleteLauren- Do you think it was wrong of Anne Marie to let Marsha believe she was a teenager as long as she did?
ReplyDeleteHalf way through the story I didn't understand the story but at the end it started to make more sence.

Why would a sixty year old woman act as a teenager? Why didn't she just tell her she was the priciple or what even in the first place?
